To Snare a Wolf

First aired Saturday, April 14, 1984

Synopsis

The team must relocate Airwolf to avoid a new spy satellite while a suspicious female pilot circles their secret.

Episode recap

Season 1 closes with the walls closing in. A new spy satellite is about to sweep the desert where Airwolf sleeps, and the team must move the Lady before her hiding place becomes a photograph on the wrong desk — all while a suspicious female pilot keeps circling the edges of their secret. "To Snare a Wolf" is a season finale in the classic mold: no single villain, just the accumulating pressure of keeping the world's most wanted machine invisible. The episode distills the entire first season into one nervous weekend, and leaves the premise exactly where the writers wanted it for Season 2 — safe, but never settled.
