Synopsis
Hawke investigates a corrupt sheriff's suspicious killing and meets highway-patrol pilot Caitlin O'Shannessy.
Episode recap
Season 2 opens by doing something rare for an action series: it adds a regular who actually changes the chemistry. Investigating a corrupt sheriff's suspicious killing, Hawke crosses paths with Caitlin O'Shannessy — a Texas highway-patrol pilot with the flying skills to keep up and the stubbornness to refuse being left behind. The case itself is pure Airwolf morality play: small-town power gone rotten, answerable to no one until something faster than the law shows up. But the episode's real business is the introduction. From here on, the team has a third seat, and the show has a warmer center of gravity.
