Synopsis
Hawke tests an Airwolf simulator whose designer is a KGB-controlled scientist out to steal the aircraft's schematics.

An Airwolf simulator sounds like a gift: all the Lady's power, none of the risk. But the machine's designer is a scientist under KGB control, and the simulation is a scalpel aimed at the real thing — a way to extract Airwolf's schematics one test flight at a time. "Mind of the Machine" is the season's technology fable, arriving just as home computers were entering American living rooms, and it frames the question the series was built on: the aircraft is only as trustworthy as the minds connected to it. Hawke, ever the analog man in a digital arms race, has to beat a copy of his own helicopter conjured from pure data.
