Synopsis

A criminal mastermind uses a rescued woman to discover Airwolf's hiding place.

Episode recap

The series' best-kept secret is its address — and in "Discovery", a criminal mastermind finally runs a con clever enough to find it. A rescued woman, placed like a chess piece, becomes the unwitting sensor that leads the enemy toward Airwolf's hiding place. The episode turns the Lair itself into the prize: not the aircraft, but the knowledge of where she sleeps. Season 1's "To Snare a Wolf" threatened the secret with satellites; "Discovery" does it with psychology, which the series always treated as the deadlier instrument. The team's response is a masterclass in protecting the one fact that keeps them all alive.
