A murdered businessman is found injected with an experimental virus, and St. John's investigation opens a door the 1980s was only beginning to fear: engineered disease as product, weapon and evidence all at once. "X-Virus" is Season 4's bio-thriller, pairing lab-coat menace with the season's procedural instincts — trace the compound, find the maker, stop the next injection. The episode extends the series' bio-weapons anxiety from Season 2's frozen "Condemned" into something more intimate: not a facility of dead scientists, but a single body carrying tomorrow's plague in its bloodstream.
