Season 4, Episode 13 · Episode 68 of 79

Rogue Warrior

First aired Friday, April 24, 1987

Synopsis

The Company demands Airwolf back after the crew defies orders inside Soviet airspace.

Episode recap

After the crew's defiance inside Soviet airspace, the bill arrives: the Company wants Airwolf back. "Rogue Warrior" turns the team's employers into its adversaries and asks the question the series had deferred since 1984 — who actually owns the Lady? The stand-off inverts every mission brief that came before it; this time the extraction target is the aircraft itself, and the hostile territory is the org chart. For St. John, holding the machine his brother bled for is not negotiable. The episode's title says how the Company files that position — and how the crew wears the label.
