Fight Like a Dove

First aired Saturday, March 10, 1984

Synopsis

A woman enlists Hawke's help to take revenge on the former Nazi weapons dealer who murdered her father, now hiding in Paraguay.

Episode recap

A woman walks into Hawke's life carrying the series' oldest currency: an unpaid debt of justice. Her father was murdered by a former Nazi weapons dealer who has spent decades comfortable and untouchable in Paraguay, and she needs the one aircraft that can reach him. The episode stretches the show's canvas — from California hangars to South American compounds — and tests Hawke's rules of engagement: he flies for the F.I.R.M., not for private vengeance, and yet some causes refuse to stay filed under 'not my mission'. The title's promise — fight like a dove — captures the balancing act: mercy and force, in an hour that lets neither win cleanly.
