A runaway boy's grandfather kidnaps Jo at a dam, and St. John must mount an Airwolf rescue.

A runaway boy, an embittered grandfather, and a dam — "A Piece of Cake" wires a family dispute to industrial-scale danger when the old man kidnaps Jo and the standoff takes over the spillways. St. John has to mount an Airwolf rescue where the hostage is family in every sense that matters to this series. The title's breezy confidence is the joke; nothing about extracting a hostage from a dam is a piece of cake, and the episode knows it. It's the season's reminder that the Santini name attracts trouble as reliably as the Hawke name — and gives as good as it gets.
