Welcome to Paradise

First aired Friday, August 7, 1987

Synopsis

Hawke helps an old friend whose air-charter business is being targeted by a ruthless lumber operator.

Episode recap

The final flight. An old friend's air-charter business is being strangled by a ruthless lumber operator, and the team answers the way it always has — since a reclusive pilot first took the Lady off the books in 1984. "Welcome to Paradise" ends the 79-episode saga not with apocalypse but with the series' original job description: ordinary people, outmatched by muscle and money, and a helicopter that evens the odds. Then the rotors wind down for good. Four seasons, two networks, two Hawke brothers and one irreplaceable machine — the legend of the sky signs off exactly as it began, flying for the people nobody else would fly for.
