Storm Warning

First aired Friday, May 29, 1987

Synopsis

Airwolf is sent to rescue Hawke's friend Jack from a South American general — but Jack is already dead.

Episode recap

A rescue mission arrives too late before it begins: Airwolf is sent to pull Hawke's friend Jack from a South American general's grip — but Jack is already dead, and the mission becomes something colder. "Storm Warning" closes the season's spring run on its darkest note, a story about the gap between orders and facts, and what a crew does when the person they came for can no longer be saved. The general's power rests on everyone arriving too late; Airwolf's answer is the series' oldest: some reckonings just need transportation. The title was the mission brief all along.
