Synopsis

A mountain trip with disabled veterans turns deadly when a deranged killer stalks the group.

Episode recap

A mountain trip with disabled veterans — men who already paid the war everything it asked — turns into a survival ordeal when a deranged killer begins stalking the group. "Tracks" is the series' wilderness thriller, and its most pointed statement about the people America sent to war and then stopped seeing. The veterans aren't cargo to be rescued; they're the episode's spine, meeting the threat with exactly the resourcefulness the world stopped crediting them with. Hawke, who carries his own war everywhere, flies support for men who understand him without a word being said.
