The Girl Who Fell From the Sky

First aired Saturday, March 15, 1986

Synopsis

Hawke discovers an amnesiac woman is the key witness against an arms-dealing politician.

Episode recap

A woman falls out of the sky with no memory of who she is — and what she can't remember is exactly what makes her the most wanted witness in the country: testimony against an arms-dealing politician. "The Girl Who Fell From the Sky" is a mystery told from inside its own MacGuffin, as Hawke protects a woman whose identity is a locked room even to herself. Every recovered fragment redraws the danger around her. The episode blends the series' aviation DNA with amnesia-noir, and aims its cynicism at a familiar target: power that launders violence through respectability.
